The only game released here was Side Pocket, essentially an overhead view of a Pool game.  Actually very similar to Yahoo Pool, except the graphics are worse, and the controls are horrendous.  Yahoo Pool is a good substitute for this game.

A few popular games actually arose here, but one legendary game caused the others to descend back to obscurity.  CastleVania got it's start here, certainly beating out Burger Time & Ikari Warriors.  Side scrollers typically did well on the NES and SNES, and 3-d worlds really weren't...

This month saw the release of the Nintendo Track Mat, along with Track & Field; a truly innovative idea for the time, except it was always very sloppy.  It would pave the ways for the Wii later on.  Some people complain about things like the Snowboard accessory, but it is far superior...

Pro Wrestling, Volleyball, and Soccer generic titles released.  nothing special here, but Soccer probably was the best of the 3, at least had fluid controls.

Trojan was the only game released February 1987, and it wasn't very memorable.  I guess it was before Double Dragon or Karate Kid came out, so it was a new idea in that sense, but it just so frustrating.  Double Dragon is probably the best style of these games if you're looking for...

Only one game released this month:  Gauntlet.  I think this was sort of revolutionary for it's time.  it was kind of like Atari finally coming full circle.  For me, it was a bit too frustrating with so many respawning enemies, but nonetheless, it will feel like a puzzle maze....

The only game released this month was Gradius; in my estimation the best graphics on the NES at the time, but it was just another side-scrolling Space Invaders-type game, and way too similar to 1942 which had just been released.  i think had this been released before 1942, this would have been...

There is one game released this month that stands among the rest, and to this day is a great challenge, and actually still a fun game.  It is Ghosts 'N Goblins for the NES.  sure, it's insanely difficult, but gamers had already experienced the Mario challenge and were looking for...

This month did not offer any true gems here.  Ninja Kid was painfully frustrating as it was just too hard, and I died when the enemies weren't actually hitting me, which made it no fun to play.  it had potential, but it failed.  Chubby Cherub sounds like a dumb game, but was actually...

Only one game was released the month:  Urban Champion.  It's basically a fighter/beat em up game, and it is quite literally, the same exact thing, over and over.  People sometimes find these fun to see who can get to the farthest level, but for me, these types of games get boring...
