This game took the approach of changing the mechanics of the previous 2k nba games. There were mixed reviews, but essentially what it does is make this game not seem like a re-hash. The controls didn't seem smooth at first because it was new, but with time you get used to it. The cutscene graphics were fantastic, as is usual for 2k games. This is one of those toss-ups for basketball fans, as some preferred 2k12, while some preferred 2k13 and 2k14 for PS3. There were plenty more old-school challenges in 2k12, and the Jordan challenge in 2k11, while 2k13 really only offered the usual MyCareer and Association, but the MyPlayer was more in-depth. The problem though, was the MyPlayer had some features only accessible online, which is no longer available.
