Pac-Man was a cult phenomenon, however, it is the original arcade console that was the real story of success here. The first console-released game turned out to be a disaster, as the controls were not fluid, and the graphics were not updated enough at a time when that issue could have been avoided. That said, I still remain true to the joystick version of Pac-Man, and as such, Atari remains my personal favorite even though it was widely despised by others. Nonetheless, the arcade version is by far the best. You can download modern apps, but like I said, unless you can configure a joystick, the arcade was the timeless classic.
